Vivo X20 Plus UD Expected to Launch on January 25, Pricing Leaked
Vivo had displayed its first smartphone with under-display fingerprint scanner during the CES 2018. Though, the name of the smartphone was not revealed by the company at the event. However, the Vivo X20 Plus UD was spotted on TENAA and if rumours are to be believed the phone will officially launch in China on January 25, 2018. The phone might come with a price tag of CNY 3,998 (roughly Rs. 39,800).
The images of the phone were leaked on Twitter by a tipster named Zyad Atef.
The leaks show that the upcoming mobile sports an 18:9 aspect ratio display. According to the images that have been leaked, the Vivo X20 Plus UD looks very similar to the Vivo X20 Plus smartphone. The Vivo X20 Plus smartphone had launched in September last year but did not make its way into the Indian market.
However, the major difference between both the phones is the rectangular fingerprint scanner that is missing from the X20 Plus UD smartphone. This is because the upcoming Vivo mobile is the first to sport the under-display fingerprint scanner technology.
Additionally, the company claimed that they fingerprint sensor is embedded between the glass panel and the OLED display panel. The Synaptics Clear ID on the phone helps in recognizing the unique fingerprint pattern of the user.
Furthermore, the smartphone might feature a dual rear camera with a 12-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor along with f/1.8 aperture. On the front, the camera will sport a single 12-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling.
